The world wasn’t blessed with a new Beyoncé album last night as many were hoping, but here’s a consolation prize: new Drake! Two helpings, in fact: the “Hotline Bling” rapper and one of the Most Influential People on the Internet just released the dancehall-inspired “One Dance,” which features Wizkid and Kyla, and “Pop Style,” which features The Throne a.k.a. Jay Z and Kanye West (in reference to their collaborative album Watch the Throne). Drake already work work work work work worked his way up to the top of the charts as a featured guest on Rihanna’s “Work,” but perhaps these displays of pop appeal and hip-hop star power—which will appear on his upcoming album Views From the 6, according to his Twitter hashtags—will finally get him there as the main attraction.
